MISSION

Red Team is an attaché focused unit within Joint Task Force Olympus. The core mission set of the unit includes:

  1. Personnel Recovery

  2. Precision Strike

  3. Global Access

  4. Battlefield Surgery

Red Team serves as the premier supporting component of JTFO. Missions vary widely and include Airfield Site Surveys, Air Traffic Control, Combat Search & Rescue, Direct Action, Civil and Military MASCAS Response, and Humanitarian Aid, among others.

In addition to these core functions, Red Team excels in providing rapid response to emerging threats and complex contingencies. Their expertise encompasses conducting detailed reconnaissance and surveillance to prepare operational environments, coordinating and executing high-risk extractions, and delivering precision strikes to neutralize high-value targets. Red Team's advanced medical personnel are trained to perform life-saving procedures in austere and hostile environments, ensuring the highest level of care is available on the battlefield.

Troop Headquarters "Odin"

Red Team operates under the command of Troop Headquarters "Odin" and is broken down into the following Air Force Specialty Codes (AFSCs):

  • Combat Controller

  • Pararescue Jumper

  • Special Reconnaissance

Each member of the troop plays a key role in the success of the team’s diverse and critical missions. Combat Controllers are experts in air-ground communications and air traffic control, ensuring the seamless integration of air support in all operations. Pararescue Jumpers (PJs) specialize in personnel recovery and advanced medical care, providing life-saving interventions and ensuring the safe extraction of both military and civilian personnel from hostile environments. Special Reconnaissance operators excel in gathering and analyzing intelligence, conducting covert surveillance, and preparing operational environments for mission success.
